Having A Large Mass In East Java, Khofifah And Mahfud MD Are Considered To Be Ganjar's Vice Presidential Candidates

Chairman of the PDIP DPP Puan Maharani said the names of the Governor of East Java Khofifah Indar Parawansa and Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam) Mahfud MD were considered as candidates for vice president (cawapres) Ganjar Pranowo. They are considered to have a mass base.

"Yes, whatever, Mr. Mahfud and Mbak Khofifah are from East Java, right, so they do have their respective votes niche," Puan told reporters at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta, Saturday, Saturday, Saturday 30.

This reason makes the bull party consider the duet of Ganjar with one of the two names.

"Yes, it is also a consideration and of course the existing presidential candidates consider this, including the PDIP," said the chairman of the DPR RI.

Even so, Puan did not want to reveal when Ganjar's assistant candidate would be declared. He asked all parties to wait until the registration of the presidential and vice presidential candidates was carried out.

"Yes, wait until October 19-25," he said.

As previously reported, Hasto had revealed that Ganjar's vice presidential candidate was not only a man but also a woman. The statement was made in response to the possibility of the figure being present during the PDIP Rakernas IV.

Initially, Hasto said, the Rakernas IV will focus on food issues. PDIP wants food sovereignty to be carried out in the future.

Meanwhile, regarding the announcement of the vice presidential candidate, said Hasto, the time is still long. This is because the registration of presidential and vice-presidential candidates to the General Election Commission (KPU) will only be held on October 19-26.

"So the priority scale now is to sharpen the narrative about Indonesia's future which will be carried by Mr. Ganjar and Mr. X and then... also Mrs. X. That's right," said Hasto to reporters at the PDIP DPP, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Monday, September 25.
