Ministry Of Home Affairs Issues SE Requires Local Government To Budget Regional Election Funds
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Home Affairs issued a circular (SE) requiring all local governments to budget for the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) for the 2024 Pilkada funds.
"The Ministry of Home Affairs issued a circular requiring all local governments (Pemda) to budget the APBD for 40 percent regional election funds this year and 60 percent next year. The circular letter is issued today (29/9)," said Director General of Regional Finance at the Ministry of Home Affairs Agus Fatoni as reported by ANTARA, Friday, September 29.
He explained that most regions have budgeted, but the budget is not enough, there will be a revised APBD.
"Until today, 44 percent have signed the budget, so it will be quite good if later followed by the revised APBD, hopefully it can be 100 percent," he said.
Agus emphasized that if there are local governments that have not budgeted the regional election budget until 2023 ends, they will be given sanctions and evaluation records.

"For regions that do not budget (until 2023 is exhausted) sanctions will be given, those who budget will certainly be given appreciation. Now the circular letter (Kemendagri) emphasizes to the Governor that in evaluating both the revised APBD and APBD for regions that do not budget enough for the regional election budget to be given a note is evaluated," he said.
Agus said that the note must be followed and the evaluation must be followed, even if it needs to be returned.
