SOEs Work On IKN Projects, Erick Thohir: Development Has 40 Percent

JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir emphasized that the commitment of state-owned companies in the development of the National Capital (IKN) Nusantara.

He said many state-owned companies were assigned to complete infrastructure development there.

The state-owned enterprises participating in the development of IKN Nusantara are PT Adhi Karya (Persero), PT Pembangunan Perumahan (Persero) Tbk or PTPP, PT Waskita Karya Tbk, to PT Hutama Karya (Persero).

Waskita Karya became a state-owned company with the largest portion of project production at IKN Nusantara with a total of IDR 4.33 trillion, from a value of IDR 7.22 trillion.

Furthermore, Erick Thohir said, the project at IKN, which is being worked on by state-owned companies, has reached 40 percent. This percentage is considered to be on target and fast.

"There are so many SOEs assigned for development there, there is Adhi Karya, there is PP and many more and if we see yesterday the construction is almost 40 percent fast," said Erick after planting trees at the Ministry of SOEs, Jakarta, Wednesday, September 27.

According to him, development at IKN Nusantara is not just relocating the capital city, but making it a greener city in the midst of current climate change.

Furthermore, he explained, this is also in line with President Joko Widodo (Jokowi)'s vision.

"This, which was sometimes recorded in industrial forest areas, which will be built 25-30 percent as a city area, 70-75 percent are returned to tropical forests in stages and this is the first project in the world and Indonesia that can, other countries are not easy," said Erick.
