Jambi RAPBD Bribe, Member Of DPR F-PKB Sentenced To 4 Years In Prison
JAMBI - Defendant Sofyan Ali, who is also a member of the DPR, was sentenced to four years in prison by the panel of judges at the Corruption Court related to the bribery case for the 'tok hammer' bribery for the ratification of the Jambi Provincial RAPBD in 2017-2018.
The KPK named Sofyan Ali a suspect in the case when he served as a member of the Jambi Provincial DPRD.
In the trial of the Jambi Corruption Court judge chaired by Budi Chandra at the Jambi Corruption Court, the defendant Sofyan Ali was declared with four colleagues to have received bribes for ratifying the Jambi RAPD so that the judge sentenced him to four years in prison and his political rights revoked.
The Jambi Corruption Court judge also sentenced six defendants to bribe the 2017-2018 Jambi Province RAPBD hammer, namely Sofyan Ali, Sainuddin, Muntalia, Rudi Wijaya, Supriyanto and Sopian. Where Sofyan Ali is listed as a member of the Jambi electoral district house from the PKB faction.
In the judge's decision, the defendants were proven to have violated Article 12 letter a of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code as the primary indictment.
"Sentenced the defendants Sofyan Ali, Muntalia, Rudi Wijaya, Supriyanto and Sopian to four years in prison," said Chief Judge Budi Chandra.

Meanwhile, the defendant Sainuddin was sentenced to a different sentence where the sentence was heavier, namely for four years and three months in prison. In addition to imprisonment, the defendant was also sentenced to an additional sentence in the form of revocation of political rights for five years, either elected or elected after the defendant served his main sentence.
The verdict of the Jambi Corruption Court against the defendant Sofyan Ali and his friends was lighter than the demands of the public prosecutor, in which the public prosecutor asked the panel of judges to sentence him to four years and six months in prison.
