Wakasad: TNI AD Alutsista Exhibition At Monas For Community Education
Deputy Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Army (Wakasad) Lt. Gen. Agus Subiyanto conveyed that the Indonesian Army's main weapon system equipment exhibition (alutsista) at Monas Jakarta is a form of education to the public.
The defense equipment exhibition, which was also attended by the Navy and Air Force dimensions, is a series of commemorations of the TNI's 78th Anniversary which was celebrated on October 5, 2023.
"So, the TNI AD at the 76th anniversary of the TNI carried out several activities, one of which was the defense equipment title which was carried out, carried out in the center and in the regions. So, we held the defense equipment owned by the TNI AD which was old until the latest we held so that the public could see it," said Lt. Gen. Not only the defense equipment title, Wakasad explained that the Indonesian Army also held social services, blood donations and mass circumcision.

In the defense equipment exhibition, the Indonesian Army displayed a number of combat vehicles and tactical vehicles, weapons, and combat clothing, as well as other tools, one of which was a mobile public kitchen.
The ranks of combat vehicles exhibited by the Indonesian Army include the field artillery weapon system such as the Astros II MK 6 rocket launcher and 6x6 'Badak' armored combat vehicles made by PT Pindad.
Astros II MK 6 rocket launchers who can launch more than one rocket at a time (MLRS) are currently used by the Medan Artillery Battalion (YoNarmed) 10 Army Strategic Reserve Command (Kostrad).

Wakasad, along with other TNI AD ranks such as the Kostrad Commander (Pangkostrad) Lt. Gen. Maruli Simanjuntak, also directly inspected several defense equipment on display and greeted the guard soldiers.
Pangkostrad, when met after reviewing the exhibition, explained that defense technology is increasingly advanced and the Indonesian Army needs to adapt to it.
"With technology now we can use a lot of drones, maybe satellites," said Maruli.
He added that Kostrad also established a booth in the Monas area so that during the TNI Anniversary event the community could come directly and see activities from the TNI AD Strategic Reserve Command.
"This we show that we are quite strong. There is air defense, there are field artillery, there are many, including how Kodam Jaya protects DKI (Jakarta). We are also backing up again. Actually, these are sophisticated items. Here and there are those who can catch a plane, "said the Kostrad Commander.
