Papuan Police Still Investigating Funds Of IDR 100 Million Buying KKB Food Materials
JAYAPURA - Papua Police Chief Inspector General Mathius Fakhiri said the police were still investigating the flow of funds used to buy food for the armed criminal group (KKB) led by Egianus Kogoya.
Investigations are still ongoing to find out where the money was used to buy the groceries. The police also have not been able to confirm whether any officials were involved because an in-depth investigation is still underway.
"Law enforcement will be carried out, including those who help the KKB," said Inspector General Fakhiri, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, September 22.
Previously, the joint team consisting of the Damai Cartenz Ops Task Force and the Asmat Police Satpolair arrested YT in Agats, Asmat Regency, South Papua, Thursday (21/9), for allegedly being a supplier of foodstuffs to the KKB led by Egianus Kogoya.
Head of Damai Cartenz2023 Operations Kombes Faizal Ramadhani said the YT who was arrested was a supplier of food ingredients whose funds came from the KKB led by Egianus Kogoya.
"It is true, YT has been arrested who is a KKB sympathizer and has a role in supplying foodstuffs to the Egianus Kogoya group," said Faizal.
From the various reports received, YT is known to work as a motorboat driver in Asmat Regency.
YT's arrest was made after the Cartenz Peace Task Force team received information, then followed YT on his way to Bank Papua to collect money from Egianus Kogoya.

Before being arrested, YT made a withdrawal of Rp100 million at Bank Papua Asmat. The money was used to buy various food ingredients according to Egianus Kogoya's request.
Meanwhile, Tuesday (19/9), members of the Cartenz Peace Task Force also arrested the alleged KKB member led by Egianus Kogoya in Nabire, namely T alias LD (27). T is suspected of being involved in a number of shootings around Nduga Regency, Papua Mountains.
