Appreciation For The TNI's Commitment To Face The 2024 General Election, Cak Imin: I Hope It's Not Just TNI Officials Who Are Neutral
JAKARTA - The vice presidential candidate (cawapres) Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin appreciates the TNI's commitment to maintaining the neutrality of the 2024 General Election.
"This is very in accordance with the value of our democracy, and the impact will also be very good for the success of the election," said Cak Imin in his statement, Wednesday.
Cak Imin said that the commitment to neutrality of the TNI could have a good impact on the implementation of elections, especially related to security, as well as clearing up the climate of democracy.
He also encouraged the TNI to intensify education and training programs related to the neutrality of these institutions in the general election.
"I hope that not only in the ranks of high-ranking TNI officials are neutral, but also all soldiers in all dimensions. This is important to carry out sustainable education that focuses on understanding and commitment to TNI neutrality," he said.
Cak Imin also encouraged the TNI to carry out strict internal supervision through mechanisms such as routine inspections, reporting violations, and supervision by direct superiors.
