DLH Serang City Will Transport The Sea Of Garbage That Piles Up In The Cibanten River

SERANG - The Environment Agency (DLH) of Serang City will transport and clean the piles of garbage that people complain about in the Cibanten River which is located in RT 05 RW 10 Kidemang neighborhood, Unyur Village, Serang District, Serang City, Banten.

The head of the Serang City DLH, Farach Rifchi, said that his party had coordinated with the Public Works and Spatial Planning (DPUPR) and the sub-district head to transport garbage in the Cibanten river.

"God willing, next week it will be done, our plan will take action to transport the garbage," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, September 18.

Farach also admitted that he had mapped and coordinated with the DPUPR and the sub-district head for handling the waste.

Even so, Farach said that actually the handling and management of the Cibanten River should be the responsibility of the Cidurian River Reservoir Center, Ciujung, Cibanten (BBWSC3).

"Actually, that is the authority of BBWSC3. We also sent a letter a few months ago regarding the river normalization, but so far there has been no response," he said.

Based on observations at the location, the pile of garbage is directly under the Kidemang neighborhood bridge, Unyur Village, Serang District, Serang City, Banten.

Garbage is dominated by household waste, including plastic waste, beverage bottles, jerry cans, tree branches, which are difficult to decompose.
