Madura United Vs Persebaya Surabaya: Sape Kerrab Mission Can Be Smooth
JAKARTA Madura United's desire to break a bad record against Persebaya Surabaya could run smoothly when the two teams met in the 2023/2024 Indonesian League 1 continued.
Madura will act as host for the match week 12 of Indonesia's highest caste at the Gelora Bangkalan Stadium, Madura, Sunday, September 17 at 15.00 WIB tomorrow.
Apart from being the host, Madura was also in the top of the wind at the start of this season. They are the leader of the standings after playing eleven matches so far.
Of that number of matches, Mauricio Souza's team secured seven wins and draws and lost twice each. This is enough to make them occupy the first position.
Being on a positive track made Madura also want to break the bad trend of meeting Bajul Ijo in this match which is known as the Suramadu derby.
Of the nine matches that have been played by both teams, Persebaya appeared strong with a record of six wins and three draws. Eight of the matches took place in Liga 1.
"The statistic is good for Madura United to break up. Eight games without a win against Persebaya Surabaya, we will try to find victory in this ninth match," said Souza.

Although statistics are smaller than opponents, Persebaya striker Wildan Ramdhani and his friends are not afraid to visit Bangkalan. They are confident because they are ahead of records.
"The test we will face will be tougher. They are at the top of the standings, but that is not an obstacle. We will fight to catch up," he said.
