World Oil Prices Touch The Highest Level, Minister Of Energy And Mineral Resources Ensures Pertalite Does Not Increase
JAKARTA - World oil prices touched the highest level throughout 2023. Reporting from Reuters, Brent oil prices jumped to 94 US dollars per barrel on Friday 15 September.
Responding to this, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) ensured that the price of Pertalite fuel oil would not increase.
"(Pertalite) did not increase," said Arifin briefly when met at the Office of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Jakarta, Friday, September 15.
Arifin added that price adjustments have been made to n0n-subsidized fuel such as Pertamax RON 92 to Rp13,300 per liter, Pertamax Green E5 (RON 95) to Rp15,000 per liter, Pertamax turbo (RON 98) to Rp15,900 per liter.
With the increase in non-subsidized fuel prices, Arifin said that the shift in people using subsidized fuel is getting bigger.
"Yesterday, I saw that the non-subsidized ones had already gone up. This will also encourage Pertalite's use," added Arifin.
