Former East Lombok Regent Admits No Mining Activities In PT AMG Relocation Land
NTB - Former East Lombok Regent M. Ali bin Dachlan said there was no mining activity for iron sand on the relocation land of PT Anugrah Mitra Graha (AMG) in the Dedalpak Block, East Lombok.
Hla said that Ali answered the public prosecutor's (JPU) question in the trial of the alleged corruption of the PT AMG iron sand mine with the defendant Rinus Adam Wakum at the Corruption Court at the Mataram District Court, Thursday, September 7. Ali was present as a witness.
"From the reports I received while serving as Regent of East Lombok, there were no mining activities in a new place (relocation area)," he said.
Ali ensured that this condition lasted until there was a transfer of authority regarding the processing of mining permits from the regions to the center, namely in 2018 at the end of his tenure as Regent of East Lombok.
After the transfer of authority, Ali said that the NTB Provincial Government revoked the decision letter for the relocation of PT AMG mining which he published in 2014.
"So, until the revocation (relocation decree), there were no mining activities," he said.

The mining relocation land for PT AMG is located in Ijobalit Village and Suryawangi Village. Ali as Regent of East Lombok admitted that before the panel of judges issued a relocation decree based on a request from PT AMG.
According to Ali, PT AMG submitted the relocation application because there was a refusal from the community on the first mining land in Anggaraksa Village and Korleko Village.
"Because of the harsh reaction to rejection from the community, that possibility. Another problem, I don't know," he said.
Hasan Basri representing the prosecutor asked Ali again regarding the mining permit for PT AMG on an area of 1,348 hectares issued in 2011 by the previous East Lombok Regent, namely Sukiman Azmy.
Ali admitted that the mining permit for PT AMG issued based on the previous official's decision was also a reference for issuing a relocation permit.
He stated that the 397 hectare relocation area was still included in the permit in 2011.
"If I look at the facts outside the field, at that time the relocation land was included," he said.
After giving testimony before the panel of judges led by Isrin Surya Kurniasih, the defendant Rinus Adam Wakum got the opportunity to ask Ali. The defendant asked Ali about a man named Erfandi Muis.
"I don't know (Erfandi)," said Ali.
According to Rinus, Erfandi often mentioned the names of witnesses when he first served detention, entrusted by prosecutors in West Lombok Prison.
"Pak Erfandi often mentions your name when he meets me. This man is indeed great, firm, supportive of investment in East Lombok," Rinus said ending the question.
