Ordered By Luhut, Polda Metro Jaya Forms Air Pollution Management Task Force

JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya formed a task force (task force) to overcome air pollution which is now a problem in Jakarta.The formation of the task force was ordered by the Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Karyoto at the direction of Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut Binsar Panjaitan."As ordered by the Metro Jaya Police Chief after receiving directions from the Indonesian Menkomarves, the Metro Jaya Police are making efforts to control air pollution, that's why we formed this Task Force,” said Deputy Chief of Metro Jaya Police Brigadier General Suyudi Ario Seto in his statement, Wednesday, September 6.Suyudi said the formation of the Task Force refers to the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 32 of 2009 concerning Environmental Protection and Management as amended by Law Number 11 of 2020 concerning Job Creation.The main goal behind the formation of this task force is of course to overcome air pollution and improve air quality."The establishment of the Air Pollution Pollution Pollution Control Task Force is also in accordance with the directives of the Metro Jaya Police Chief to support the government's efforts to accelerate the prevention of air pollution and improve air quality in the jurisdiction of the Polda Metro Jaya," he said.However, the task force has not yet been detailed. Suyudi only emphasized that this task force will try to prevent air pollution in Jakarta and its surroundings.
"With the formation of this Task Force, it is hoped that it will tackle and prevent air pollution in the jurisdiction of the Polda Metro Jaya and its agglomeration," said Suyudi.The task force that was formed will oversee 7 other subsatgas, namely:1. Analyst Subsatgas.2. Preemptive Subsatgas.3. Preventive Subsatgas.4. Repressive Subsatgas or Law Enforcement.5. Bantek Subsatgas.6. Public Relations Subsatgas.7. Regional subsatgas.
