Fire Hits Settlement In Kramat Jati, Successfully Extinguished By Fires

The fire, aka the red rooster, hit another residential area on Jalan Pedati, Kramat Jati District, East Jakarta.

The fire broke out since 23.03 WIB, Tuesday, September 5 and was reported to the East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. office.

Head of East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. Gatot Sulaeman confirmed the fire incident in residential areas.

"The object that caught fire was a house building of 70 square meters belonging to Dadang. The cause was an electrical short circuit. The owner suffered a loss of Rp. 100 million," Gatot told reporters, Tuesday, September 5, evening.

However, his party has not recorded the number of houses burned down. Meanwhile, 5 fire engines were deployed.

"We have deployed 25 personnel to extinguish the fire. The fire was successfully extinguished at 23.40 WIB. Currently, the status is green, the extinguishing process is complete," he said.

The exact cause of the fire that occurred is not yet known. Officers are also still collecting data at the location of the fire.

"Initially the fire was discovered by the victim's neighbor, suddenly there was an ignition in the kitchen. There were no victims, as many as 8 people were rescued," he said.
