Fugitive Interpol From Russia Arrested While Extending Visa In Bali
The Fugitive Interpol from Russia, Pavel Mironov (32), was arrested by officers from the Special Class I Immigration Office of TPI Ngurah Rai, Bali, while extending their visas at the Immigration Office.
The Head of Public Relations of the Bali Police, Kombes Jansen Avitus Panjaitan, said the request for the arrest of Pavel from the Russian Interpol by coordinating through the NCB Interpol Divhubinter Police Headquarters.
"That's a request for assistance from the Russian State. There was a legal incident and then coordination was carried out with our Interpol at the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police," said Jansen, Tuesday, September 5.
Pavel was arrested while taking care of the visa extension at the immigration office. When the data was tracked down, Pavel was arrested by the Ngurah Rai immigration officer.
"It turned out that at the time he was going to take care of his visa and letter-confiscated whereabouts here by friends at immigration (known) and it was connected. So, it can be immediately read and recorded and this foreigner is wanted and a request for assistance is immediately carried out by security measures," he added.
The Bali Police are only entrusted with the detention of Pavel. Currently, the police are still coordinating with the Russian Interpol to pick up or deport Pavel.
"The Bali Police are only entrusted, while we are waiting for Russia (to) pick them up and for the legal process not in Bali but in their home country. We will continue to coordinate and temporarily detain them for 20 days and the deportation process will continue," he explained.
Pavel is a fugitive in cases of fraud and crime. But Jansen did not explain the detailed case.

Previously, the Class I Immigration Office Special for TPI Ngurah Rai, Bali managed to arrest a male fugitive from an Interpol from Russia named Pavel Mironov.

Pavel was arrested on Thursday (31/8) in the Kuta area, Badung Regency, Bali. This arrest was based on a request from Interpol through the NCB Interpol Divhubinter Police Headquarters.
The previous Divhubinter of the National Police Headquarters sent a letter requesting assistance to search and arrest Pavel on August 15, 2023.
