A video circulated showing a mother who was about to throw her baby away at the Pasar Minggu Station platform, South Jakarta. However, the action was prevented by station security officers.

In the video, a woman is seen wearing a blue veil holding her hand by one of the train officers. Officers seem to be trying to block the woman's action to throw her baby away.

"Why mother, there is a problem. You can say it well," said the train officer.

Contacted separately by the Pasar Minggu Police Chief, Commissioner David Pratama said that the mother did not throw away the baby. However, said David, he planned to commit suicide.

He added that the incident occurred on Saturday, September 2, at night.

"That's why people just want to try to commit suicide, things are stressed but have been rescued by officers," David said when confirmed, Monday, September 4.

Still said David, the mother and baby had returned to their homes. However, before being sent home, he had made an agreement not to repeat the suicide attempt again.

"He was the one who wanted to commit suicide, but he promised not to do it again and was brought home," he concluded.
