PKB Supports Anies, Zulhas Says Cak Imin Turns Him On Without Kasih Sein

JAKARTA - Chairman of the National Mandate Party (PAN) Zulkifli Hasan (Zulhas) opened his voice about the duet between the General Chairperson of the National Awakening Party (PKB) Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin) and the future presidential candidate Anies Baswedan.

According to Zulhas, the transfer of Cak Imin from the Greater Indonesia Awakening Coalition (KKIR) or which had changed its name to the Advanced Indonesia Coalition seemed to turn without giving a light.

"Yes, if the light goes out, mbok gives his hand. This turns, he doesn't give it," Zulhas said in his remarks at the event to increase the Political Capacity of Members and Candidates for PAN West Kalimantan, Friday, September 1 as quoted from a written statement received in Jakarta.

Nevertheless, Zulhas said that his party respects the decisions of each political party in determining their political direction. He continued to pray for the PKB to be successful in the 2024 election.

"Later PAN will come here, PKB will come here, Democrats will come here, we respect each other's rights. Only yesterday, we were in the same group as PKB Cak Imin, this is a turn. If the group of cars together, this turn doesn't give the meaning," he said.

Previously, Thursday, August 31, the Democratic Party announced that the NasDem Party had made a unilateral decision by forming a collaboration with PKB as well as establishing Cak Imin as a candidate for Vice President for Anies.

The news of Cak Imin's appointment as a candidate for vice president was announced by the Secretary-General of the Democratic Party, Teuku Riefky Harsya, through a press release after receiving confirmation from Sudirman Said as Anies' envoy.

Cak Imin and PKB are still members of the KKIR or the Advanced Indonesia Coalition with the Gerindra, PAN, and Golkar parties. Meanwhile, the Democratic Party has officially revoked its support for Anies on Friday, September 1 night.

According to the KPU schedule, registration for presidential and vice presidential candidates will start from October 19, 2023 to November 25, 2023.
