Support National Food Security, ID FOOD Commitment To Prioritize Integrity
JAKARTA - Food SOE Holding ID FOOD affirms its commitment to prioritizing integrity in carrying out business activities and various food-related assignments. This is inseparable from the duties and roles of ID FOOD as Holding which was formed to support the government's goal of realizing food security, inclusiveness, and increasing the competitiveness of domestic food products.
President Director of ID FOOD Frans Marganda Tambunan in his statement, Friday, September 1, in Jakarta, said efforts to support national food security must be built with the principle of holding companies that comply with regulations, are transparent, and accountable and in accordance with the principles of Good Corporate Governance (GCG).
"This commitment is very important, considering the current ID FOOD is concerned about increasing business scale and its contribution to supporting government programs," he explained.
A number of strategic programs currently being implemented ID FOOD include the implementation of Government Food Reserves (CPP) in accordance with Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 125 of 2022 concerning the Implementation of Government Food Reserves. In the program, ID FOOD is assigned by the National Food Agency (NFA) to provide reserves and stabilize prices for 9 food commodities such as ruminant meat, poultry meat, chilies, garlic, eggs, sugar, onions, fish and cooking oil. "In addition to the implementation of CPP, Frans added, ID FOOD also received an assignment in the stunting eradication program through the distribution of food assistance in the form of poultry meat and poultry eggs to 1,46,089 KRS (Stunting Risk Families) in 7 provinces, namely Banten, West Java, Central Java, East Java, NTT, West Sulawesi, and North Sumatra.
"There is also the Makmur program which is an integrated upstream-downstream agricultural corporate program. ID FOOD acts as offtaker for harvest. Through this program, intensive assistance is carried out to farmers of sustainable agricultural cultivation and involves supply chains and technology support. The purpose of this program is to increase income and welfare of farmers," he explained.
He emphasized that all strategic programs carried out aim to support the strengthening of the national food ecosystem while maintaining the sustainability of the ID FOOD business.

"For this reason, it is very important to ensure the integrity of all employees in every company's business line. We really don't let weak supervision and commitment to integrity hinder the contribution of ID FOOD in supporting food security," he said.
Frans added, to strengthen compliance with the implementation of good corporate governance, the company has also collaborated with relevant agencies and stakeholders. Since the process of establishing the Food SOE Holding, namely in 2021, ID FOOD has collaborated with the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP).
"This step is to improve the implementation of GCG, Risk Management, and strengthen the role of the Internal Supervisory Unit (SPI) within the scope of Food SOE Holding," he said.
