Asked By BPK To Return Money, Dozens Of Teachers Recipient Of Riau Provincial Government Scholarships Complain To DPRD
PEKANBARU - Dozens of teachers who received scholarships from the Riau Provincial Government visited Commission V of the local DPRD to ask for solutions related to the findings of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) which asked them to return state money amounting to Rp23 million.
Their arrival was received by Deputy Chairman of Commission V of the Riau DPRD Karmila Sari, Tuesday, August 29.
Representative of the study task teacher for Riau Province, Teguh said as many as 44 teachers received scholarships through selection who later graduated from school by the Riau Provincial Government to Bandung.
"During college we were still given allowances. This means that apart from scholarships we were given allowances while studying. When we finished college, all of them were already undergraduate, some doctors were told to return allowances for one year. Why were they returned, because there were findings from the BPK," said Teguh as quoted by ANTARA.
He mentioned that when asked to return these ASN teachers, they had no money. It should not have been paid from the start if it would cause problems like this.
"When there is a problem, don't charge us. Those who pay the treasurer of the Education Office. Yes, we don't know, we are studying," said Teguh.
Teguh regretted that the carelessness of the Disdik made those who covered the mistake. Because, in the letter of the BPK Examination Result Report, it was recorded that there was a lack of monitoring, meaning that the Disdik treasurer did not carefully understand the rules that resulted in the teachers becoming victims.
"For people approximately Rp. 23 million times 44 people. We have faced the BPK, we wrote to the BPK simultaneously. Then we were summoned, from the BPK did not write to teachers, but wrote to officials, in this case the Education Office. Or the governor as the highest leader, the decree is from the governor," explained Teguh.

Deputy Commission V of the Riau DPRD, Karmila Sari, said that his party had confirmed it to the Legal Bureau of the Riau Provincial Government. Indeed, there are changes to the Governor's Regulation, it's just that the Education Office is negligent and does not adapt to the existing rules.
"Because of how much salaries and allowances they get. And the Kamilatif Achievement Index was all good, there were 3.7 there were 3.8. This means that they are given the opportunity to get their rights, both in terms of living expenses, education borne by the provincial government," said Karmila.
Commission V of the Riau DPRD accommodates complaints from this teacher to be followed up by the relevant Regional Apparatus Organization. "Of course we will summon the relevant agencies, especially the education. This is what must really be done so that their struggle in these two years is over," said Karmila.
