PBNU Appoints Ponpes Al Hamid Tuan Rumah Munas Alim Ulama
JAKARTA - The Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) Executive Board officially appointed Al Hamid Islamic Boarding School (Ponpes), East Jakarta, to host the Alim Ulama National Conference (Munas) and the Nahdlatul Ulama 2023 Grand Conference (Konbes).
"Thankfully it is trusted by PBNU to be the opening place for the National Conference and Konbes," said Head of Islamic Boarding School Al Hamid Lukman Hakim Hamid as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, August 29.
Kiai Lukman said that his party welcomed it and felt grateful and happy because he hoped for the blessings of the kiai.
"We are very grateful because after all, we take the blessing of paramasyayikh (chairman) and are happy to have a role in NU," he said.
Kiai Lukman emphasized that the hosts of the National Conference and the 2023 Konbes were carried out together with the DKI Jakarta Nahdlatul Ulama Regional Management (PWNU). Other activities, such as commissions and inns for participants from all over Indonesia, will be centered at Pondok Gede Hajj Dormitory.
On the same occasion, the Chairperson of the Administrative Committee for the Alim Ulama National Conference and the 2023 NU Konbes KH Abdul Ghofur Maimoen said that the theme "One Leg Belonging to The Ummah" carried shows NU's efforts to provide assistance to the people towards a good future.
"Our one leg is owned by the people now. The other is to accompany the future, to move on to the future," he said.

Kiai Ghofur emphasized that NU is a social and religious organization, where Konbes is an activity that discusses internal NU issues, including regeneration, NU association regulations, and fulfilling the results of the Civilization Fiqah in regeneration.
Meanwhile, the National Conference of Alim Ulama NU, he said, became an agenda to provide answers to problems related to religious issues that developed in the community.
As is known, the National Alim Ulama is an NU deliberation forum attended by PBNU members and PWNU syuriyah members, as well as being able to invite religious scholars, boarding school caregivers, and experts, both from within and outside the NU management as participants. Meanwhile, the Konbes was attended by members of PBNU and PWNU.
