Gorontalo Police Destroy Tens Of Thousands Of Bottles Of Alcohol

GORONTALO - Gorontalo Police destroyed 22,204 bottles of alcoholic beverages of various brands and 18,432 liters of illegal capticine-type drinks in the Bone Bolango Police yard.

"Eholic drinks are one of the causes of the increasing number of criminal disturbances in the Gorontalo Province," said Gorontalo Police Chief Inspector General Angesta Romano Yoyol as reported by ANTARA, Monday, August 28.

The alcoholic drinks destroyed were confiscated from the Regional Police and Resort Police in the Gorontalo City area, Bone Bolango Regency, Gorontalo Regency, Boalemo Regency, Pohuwato Regency and North Gorontalo Regency.

The destruction of the evidence was carried out by pouring liquor into the holes that had been provided.

"We all realize that Gorontalo is famous for his nickname Serambi Medina, because the majority of the people here uphold religious values," said the Kapolda.

According to the Kapolda, with many people still consuming alcoholic beverages, it will tarnish the positive image that has been attached to Gorontalo Province.

Inspector General Yoyol reminded that now it has entered the political year which is a series of stages of the 2024 General Election. so that security and order are certainly one of the main factors in the success of the General Election.

"My attention as the Gorontalo Police Chief is to take firm and measured legal action against the circulation of liquor through conditions of creation," said the Kapolda.
