KAI Commuter Line Introduces Multi Trip Card In Surabaya

SURABAYA - PT KAI Commuter Line introduces a multi trip card (KMT) as a payment card that is stored in balance and can be used for ticket purchase transactions.

"This multi-trip card has also been integrated with Trans East Java Buses and also Suroboyo Buses, but the implementation cannot be carried out at the stations at Daop 8 Surabaya," said President Director of PT Kereta Commuter Indonesia Asdo Artriviyanto after the "Roadshow Commuterline Urban Generation Style" at Gubeng Station Surabaya reported by ANTARA, Friday, August 25.

According to him, the implementation of KMT tapping in Surabaya will be carried out in 2024, because it takes a long time to prepare.

"There will be a gate installation that can be eaten without having to buy a ticket like the one in Jakarta and it will take a long time," he said.

Therefore, he continued, this activity is expected to provide the widest possible information to the use of Commuter Line, especially those in Surabaya and its surroundings.

"It is hoped that this introduction can provide the widest possible information to the use of Commuter Line," he said.

Meanwhile, KAI Commuter VP Corporate Secretary Anne Purba said that in addition to the introduction of KMT, her party also entertained prospective passengers by featuring KAI Commuter personnel who joined C-Dance and C-Choir.

"Pertunjukan dengan menyanyikan lagu-lagu yang familiar sebagai bentuk apresiasi dan hiburan kepada pengguna yang ada di Stasiun Gubeng Surabaya," katanya.

According to him, in terms of service standards in Daop 8 Surabaya, his party will continue to provide the same as the Jabodetabek Commuter Line service which has been successfully implemented.

"We always hope and make maximum efforts so that the presence of KAI Commuter has a positive impact and is a solution for transportation services in every place where we are present," he said.
