Kejari Mukomuko Immediately Examines Corruption Witnesses For BPBD Funds
MUKOMUKO - Mukomuko District Attorney's Office, Bengkulu, immediately examined a number of witnesses in the investigation into the alleged corruption case of unexpected expenditure funds for disaster management at the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) in 2022.
"We will summon the witness of the former head of BPBD and ask for information regarding this case," said Head of Special Crimes at the Mukomuko District Attorney's Office, Agung Malik Rahman Hakim, as reported by ANTARA, Friday, August 25.
The case of alleged corruption in the 2022 unexpected expenditure fund at the Mukomuko BPBD, which previously had the status of an investigation, has now been upgraded to an investigation.
He said investigators had previously summoned the former head of the Mukomuko Regency BPBD to be questioned regarding the alleged corruption case. In addition, his party has also summoned the treasurer of BPBD Mukomuko
"The summons to witnesses in this case previously at the time of the alleged corruption case is still in the process of being investigated," he said.
The Prosecutor's Office wants the handling of the alleged corruption case of BPBD funds to be completed quickly so that various related parties are examined in this case.
Agung said investigators from the Mukomuko District Attorney's Office would continue to investigate cases of alleged corruption in the use of funds for disaster management.
The alleged misuse of the budget for disaster management at the Mukomuko BPBD occurred because it used two budget items, both of which came from the 2022 APBD.

The first disaster management budget came from the Mukomuko Regency BPBD Budget Implementation Document (DPA) amounting to Rp628 million and unexpected expenditure funds of Rp348 million.
Meanwhile, in the stages of disbursing unexpected expenditure funds, BPBD Mukomuko wrote to the Regent Mukomuko Sapuan, then the regent ordered the Regional Finance Agency (BKD) to disburse funds to be used by BPBD.
However, Agung has not been able to mention in detail the criminal act of corruption in the corruption case of funds for disaster management.
