Budiman Sudjatmiko Calls His Son Who Received Dismissal Letter From PDIP
JAKARTA - Budiman Sudjatmiko spoke about his dismissal from the PDI-P (PDIP). He admitted that he did not immediately accept the decree signed by PDIP Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri and PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto.
"Earlier I was traveling, (a letter came, ed) when (I, ed) was not at home," Budiman told reporters, Thursday night, August 24.
At that time, Budiman admitted that people immediately informed him at his house. He said that the person who received the letter of dismissal from the party bearing the bull symbol was his daughter who had deep memories of Megawati.
"It was accepted by my daughter who happened to be given a name when she was little by Megawati," he said.
Regarding his dismissal letter, Budiman did not want much comment. However, he believes the decision will open a new episode for him in the world of politics.
"We are preparing new episodes. I hope it can be in positive contribution for a better Indonesia with small donations," said the former activist.
As previously reported, Budiman was officially fired after a decree was signed by PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri and PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto on Thursday, August 24.
"Giving organizational sanctions in the form of dismissal of Budiman Sudjatmiko from the members of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle," read a letter of dismissal circulating quoted on Thursday, August 24.
The existence of the letter was confirmed by the Chairman of the Honorary Division of the PDIP DPP Komarudin Watubun. He said this letter was a court recommendation held by the PDIP DPP Disciplinary Committee on Monday, August 21.
"The Disciplinary Committee session has issued recommendations to the DPP since Monday," Komarudin said when confirmed.

Komarudin did not want to talk much about Budiman's dismissal. He admitted that he was traveling to Maluku and Papua to consolidate to win PDIP presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo.
In addition, he is busy arranging the registration of temporary legislative candidates (DCS) in the two regions. "About the sanctions imposed, it can be checked only at the DPP secretariat," he said.
