Just Launched, Kia EV9 GT-Line Sells Hard At GIIAS 2023

JAKARTA - PT Credium Indo Artha (KIA), the agent holding the Kia brand in Indonesia, managed to attract the attention of visitors by showing off several of the latest models in the 2023 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) and recording positive results during the event.

In this largest exhibition in Southeast Asia, Kia noted some impressive sales achievements, including sales of electric vehicle models.

During the 11-day period, Kia managed to record sales of 115 units of electric vehicle models, including EV9 GT-Line, EV6 GT, and EV6 GT-Line, which are the biggest contributors.

Kovara principal, Head of Sales of PT KIA, revealed that their electric vehicle line not only achieved success in sales, but also succeeded in improving the image of Kia, the South Korean company.

"With Kia EV9 GT-Line and Kia EV6 GT displayed on GIIAS 2023, we managed to improve the image of the Kia brand and recorded a significant increase in the number of bookings. We hope this positive trend will continue until the end of the year," said Kovara in a statement, Wednesday, August 23.

In detail, Kia EV9 GT-Line contributed the highest number of sales with 71 units, followed by Kia EV6 GT with 24 units, and EV6 GT-Line with 20 units.

Overall, Kia managed to record 556 sales units, of which 441 units are conventional engine vehicles sold in Indonesia.

Of the 441 fuel-engined vehicles, Kia Sonet contributed the highest number of sales with 159 units, followed by Kia Carens with 153 units, Kia Grand Carnival with 73 units, and Seltos with 56 units.

In addition to sales, the recently launched Kia EV9 GT-Line was also named the favorite electric car at GIIAS 2023 thanks to its futuristic design and impressive performance.

The Kia EV9 GT-Line is the highest variant of their three-line electric-powered SUV lineup. The exterior design of this car carries the philosophy of "Bold for Nature," combining natural and material elements. The EV9 design is considered a milestone for the design of the future electric SUV.

The top variant of Kia EV9 has a range of up to 495 km with one battery charging. In addition, the EV9 GT-Line is equipped with Vehicle to Load (V2L) and Vehicle to Vehicle (V2V) features, enabling cars to function as additional power sources for households and other necessities.
