Get Ready! Buy 3 Kg Elpiji Only For Registered Customers Starting January 1, 2024
JAKARTA - Director General of Oil and Gas Tutuka Ariadji revealed that starting January 1, 2024, only users who have been registered can buy 3 Kg of Tabung LPG.
Tutuka explained that the transformation of LPG subsidies had already begun with data collection or matching of user data.
"This policy aims so that the subsidies provided by the Government can be fully enjoyed by groups of people who are unable or more on target," he said, Wednesday, August 23.
It is known that since March 1, 2023, the Government through Pertamina has registered or collected data on 3 Kg LPG users in Sub Distributors or Pangkalan into a website-based system as an initial stage of the 3 Kg Cylinder LPG Distribution Program on Target.
"The data collection of consumers using 3 Kg LPG cylinders is a follow-up to the Financial Note of Fiscal Year 2023 which states that the Government's commitment to carry out steps to transform the 3 Kg LPG Tube subsidy to be target-based recipients and integrated with the social protection program in stages by considering economic recovery and people's purchasing power," explained Tutuka.
Just so you know, according to Presidential Regulation Number 104 of 2007 and Number 38 of 2019, 3 Kg of LPG is only intended for households and micro-enterprises used for cooking, target fishermen, and target farmers.

Director General of Oil and Gas emphasized that in this data collection there are no restrictions in the purchase of 3 Kg Cylinder LPG. Buyers at Pangkalan only need to bring their ID cards and/or family cards, and if they are registered in the system, it is only enough to bring their ID cards for the next purchase. Especially for Micro Business users, additional photos of themselves are needed at their place of business.
