Polri Pecat Kombes Yulius Bambang Karyanto Anggota Baharkam Yang Ditangkap Polda Metro Karena Sabu

JAKARTA - The National Police have fired Kombes Yulius Bambang Karryanto (YBK) for being involved in a narcotics case. The dismissal was based on the results of the Police Code of Ethics Commission (KKEP) trial.

"The decision at the KKEP trial is an administrative sanction in the form of Disrespectful Dismissal (PTDH) as a member of the National Police," said Karo Penmas of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan in his statement, Monday, August 21.

The PTDH sanction was imposed because Kombes Yulius Bambang Karyanto's actions in consuming methamphetamine were considered a disgraceful act.

In addition, the dismissal sanction is a form of the National Police Chief's commitment to take firm action against its members who enter the black world of narcotics.

"Based on the National Police Chief's commitment that he is not playing games with Polri officers who are involved in narcotics crimes," said Ramadhan.

Kombes Yulius Bambang Karyanto was declared to have violated Article 13 paragraph (1) of Government Regulation Number 1 of 2003 concerning the Dismissal of Police Members Juncto Article 5 paragraph (1) letter b, Article 8 letter c number 1 and Article 13 letter e Perpol Number 7 of 2022 concerning the Professional Code of Ethics and the Police Code of Ethics Commission.

Kombes Yulius Bambang Karyanto alias YBK is a member of Baharkam Polri. He was arrested by the Directorate of Drug Investigation of the Metro Jaya Police at a hotel in the Kelapa Gading area, North Jakarta, Friday, January 6.

From the arrest, evidence was confiscated of two packages of methamphetamine weighing 0.5 grams and 0.6 grams.
