Facing A Competitive Economic Era, Bank DKI And The DKI Provincial Government Provide MSME Actors With A Financial Literacy Education Program

JAKARTA - Bank DKI together with the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government held a financial literacy education program involving 500 MSMEs assisted by the East Jakarta or JakPreneur Administrative Business Cooperative Trade Industry Sub-Department. The goal is that they are ready to face challenges and welcome opportunities in an increasingly competitive economic era.

"With better knowledge and skills in financial management, it is hoped that MSMEs can manage their business more efficiently and with quality, thereby increasing competitiveness and can grow and develop sustainably," said Director of Technology & Operations, concurrently Acting (Plt) President Director of Bank DKI, Amirul Wicaksono to reporters, Saturday, August 19.

The training, which is packaged with the theme 'Metal Wirausaha and Literacy for Personal Financial Management' has been carried out in 10 sub-districts, namely Cakung, Duren Sawit, Jatinegara, Pulogadung, Matraman, Kramat Jati, Makassar Village, Pasar Rebo, Cipayung and Ciracas. The training was held throughout the period July 2023.

In helping the progress of MSMEs, Bank DKI recorded the distribution of People's Business Credit (KUR) in 2022 of 100 percent of the quota or IDR 1.15 trillion to approximately 6,023 MSME and Micro business actors.

Meanwhile, for 2023, Bank DKI received a portion of IDR 2.8 trillion, with details of the conventional allocation of IDR 2 trillion, and Sharia of IDR 800 billion.

Amirul emphasized that his party will not only expand access to credit or financing. However, it is committed to encouraging empowerment and assistance so that MSMEs can grow and develop in supporting the regional and national economy.

"The program that has been running is a pilot project and in the future it will be continued to other areas of DKI Jakarta," he said.

In addition, the Head of the East Jakarta PPKUKM Sub-dept., Derlina Melinda Sagala, said the training was very useful for MSME actors. Because, they get knowledge to face business competition.

In addition, the training is also a manifestation of the implementation of DKI Jakarta Provincial Governor Regulation number 2 of 2020 concerning the Implementation of Integrated Entrepreneurship Development.

"Training is filled by entrepreneurship experts, banking practitioners, MSME practitioners and entrepreneurship from Bank DKI as well as assistants to JakPreneur DKI Jakarta Provincial Government," said Derlina.

Bank DKI is also actively supporting MSME players through the market digitization program in DKI Jakarta, especially the management market of Perumda Pasar Jaya.

Bank DKI also presents a payment ecosystem through the JakOne Abank application, implementation of QRIS, to digitizing payments in other facilities within the market environment, which is expected to encourage the implementation of non-cash transactions.

In terms of digital service solutions, Bank DKI also continues to develop the JakOne Mobile application as a super app with various digital service features that can accommodate various daily financial transaction needs, especially for traders and market visitors, such as payment of various bills, taxes, levies, online shopping, top up electronic money, to QRIS transactions.

Bank DKI Corporate Secretary, Arie Rinaldi added, various digitalization breakthroughs made by Bank DKI are expected to provide benefits for expanding financial inclusion in DKI Jakarta through non-cash transactions, one of which is ease of applying for credit or financing.
