Beautiful Indonesian Fabrics Exhibited On Prambanan Catwalk Nusantara
PT Taman Wisata Borobudur Temple, Prambanan and Ratu Boko held a Prambanan Catwalk Nusantara in the Prambanan Temple Area on the 78th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia on August 17. The event was intended to lift the potential of Indonesian native fabrics.
"This activity presents archipelago wastra such as batik, lurik, weaving, songket and ecoprint as a means of supporting the promotion of archipelago wastra cloth as well as a form of love and pride for Indonesian cultural arts," said Director of Marketing, Services and Business Development of PT TWC Hetty Herawati in Sleman, Saturday, August 19.
According to him, the activity which was held in the "concourse" area of the Prambanan Temple Tourism Park destination was realized thanks to the collaboration and collaboration between PT TWC and the Indonesian Fashion Entrepreneurs Association (APPMI) of the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY).
"This action was presented to color the Red and White Semarak in the Prambanan Temple World Cultural Heritage Destination," he said as quoted by ANTARA.
He said the Red and White Semarak through the Prambanan Catwalk Nusantara action involved 13 fashion designers from DIY, who presented their best works, an interpretation of the clothing of the islands in the archipelago.
"The work was carried out by a number of female representatives by walking along the 'catwalk' set Prambanan Temple," he said.
Hetty said this event was also enlivened by the regional fashion show competition by visitors at Prambanan Temple.
"The greatness of the largest Hindu temple in Indonesia, combined with fashion art is a combination of elegant performances," he said.
He said, "Prambanan Catwalk Nusantara" is the first step in collaboration with fashion designers to hold a work performance at the Candi Tourism Park destination.
"In addition, the 'Prambanan Catwalk Nusantara' is also expected to foster love for wastra Nusantara. This activity is an effort to collaborate between cultural heritage destinations and the wealth of the archipelago wastra to be encoded in one show, which, although simple, still has meaning," he said.

Moreover, he said, this activity was carried out on Indonesian Independence Day, which could become an "experience" to strengthen the love of the homeland and the nation.
Chairman of the Yogyakarta Association of Indonesian Fashion Entrepreneurs (APPMI) Sugeng Waskito said his party fully supports this collaboration.
"This 'Prambanan Catwalk Nusantara' performance has become a special stage, with the setting of Prambanan Temple splendor. We, together with APPMI members, are certainly happy to be able to participate in enlivening this commemoration of Indonesian Independence. Hopefully in the future this can continue, using other destinations," he said.
