Denies Gibran Was Not Invited Because Of The Issue Of Prabowo's Vice Presidential Candidate, PDIP: There Is No Connection

PDI-P Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto responded to the news that Solo Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka was not invited to a consolidation event for regional heads of PDIP cadres throughout Central Java in Semarang, Central Java, Tuesday, August 15, evening.

Hasto emphasized that he had nothing to do with the issue of Gibran being a vice presidential candidate (Bacawapres) accompanying Prabowo Subianto in the 2024 presidential election.

"It has nothing to do with it," said Hasto at Lenteng Agung, South Jakarta, Thursday, August 17.

Hasto explained that Gibran was present at the central PDIP and led the discussion on winning the presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo. Even President Jokowi's eldest son also gave recommendations to be reviewed at the central level.

"Mas Gibran is here, even leading the discussion about Pak Ganjar's victory, and has provided good recommendations in which what was studied at the central level where Mas Gibran was then the leader of the discussion group, then spread out in the regions," he said.

Meanwhile, Gibran responded casually about himself being not invited to the event. He considered, the event was for the seniors.

"Yes, it's okay, maybe those invited by seniors, those who are not invited. If invited, I will definitely come," said Gibran
