Prevent Crime, West Jakarta Police Raid Sidik Jari At Kost House Tamansari Area
JAKARTA - A number of residents of boarding houses in Pinangsia Village, Tamansari District, West Jakarta were raided by joint officers from the Tamansari Police. The raid was carried out as an effort to prevent crime and terrorism.
West Jakarta Metro Police Chief Taman Sari Polres Metro Kompol Adhi Wananda said the raid was carried out to improve environmental security, especially in the Tamansari area, West Jakarta.
This data collection activity was carried out by each personnel according to their main duties and functions to gather information about the residents of boarding houses in the area.
"We in this activity also brought in an Inafis team from the West Jakarta Metro Police with tools that facilitate data collection," he said when confirmed, Wednesday, August 16.
The main purpose of this data collection is to ensure that the identities and backgrounds of the boarding-costant residents have been properly verified.
"This step is taken as a first step to prevent potential crimes that can occur in the boarding house environment," he said.
Kompol Adhi explained that this data collection was carried out by collecting information such as name, address of origin, identity number, and reasons for occupying boarding houses.

"In addition, officers also verify the validity of the identities of the residents to ensure that no individual tries to hide identity or engage in illegal activities," he said.
By identifying and verifying the boarding-cost residents, it is hoped that the potential risk of crime can be minimized, as well as helping law enforcement if needed.
"We deployed as many as 50 joint personnel from the Polsek, Koramil, Satpol PP, Dishub and Damkar," he said.
This activity is also a form of preventing the anticipation of terrorist actions living in residential areas.
