Police Wait For Miss Universe Indonesia Finalist Readiness Victims Of Naked Photo Harassment To Be Examined

Director of General Criminal Investigation (Dirreskrimum) Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Hengki Haryadi said he was still waiting for the readiness of victims of harassment at the holding of the Miss Universe Indonesia beauty pageant for questioning.

"We will see the readiness of the victims, because according to information from the attorney, they are still in a state of trauma," said Hengki, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, August 11.

The police will coordinate with the Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (PPPA) in terms of providing psychological assistance to victims.

After the victim's condition is stable, investigators will continue the process of investigating the alleged abuse case by asking for information from the victim.

"We will examine the victim first, then we will investigate the reporter. If this meets the offense or criminal act, we will follow up on it until we find out who the suspect is," said Hengki.

Previously, the attorney for victims of sexual harassment of the Miss Universe Indonesia finalist nude photo, Melisa Anggraini, said that a number of victims had met with PPPAI Minister Gusti Ayu Bintang Darmawati on Wednesday (9/8).

"So yesterday we brought these victims to meet with the Minister and they have been given support (support)," said Mellisa.

Mellisa said the Minister of PPPA appreciated the courage of the victims to report their cases to the authorities.

"What they are doing right now is an extraordinary thing, something that should be appreciated because this will break the chain, there should be no more victims like them in the future," Mellisa quoted the Minister of PPPA as saying.

Mellisa also explained that the Minister of PPPA also promised to provide the support and assistance needed.

"Yes, he gave support to me. Later he will facilitate related criminal experts if needed," he said.
