IKN Has The Potential For Wide Collaboration With Banking

The Capital Archipelago Authority (OIKN) revealed that the State Capital or IKN Nusantara has the potential for broad business cooperation with banks in supporting the new nation's capital through ease of financial transactions.

"The capital city of Nusantara has sufficient business potential so that there are opportunities for cooperation schemes that can be carried out not only by banks such as Bank Mandiri BUMN, but also with Mandiri subsidiaries in supporting the development of the new capital city," said OIKN Secretary Achmad Jaka Santos in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Friday 11 August.

Achmad Jaka Santos said OIKN signed a memorandum of understanding on banking services and a cooperation agreement with Bank Mandiri as one of the state-owned banking sectors in order to facilitate financial transactions for both retail and institutional communities. The memorandum of understanding signed is the initial basis for the preparation of further cooperation agreements.

This Memorandum of Understanding can accommodate various interests on both sides. Banking SOEs can synergize with OIKN in realizing the Capital City of the Archipelago as a symbol of the nation's identity, green economy and energy, smart transportation, and government governance that is efficient and effective as a major transformation of the Indonesian nation.

The collaboration is a form of support for the government's program towards cashless society, where the use of inventory money is no longer fully used for cash.

"We hope that Mandiri can become a government institution with a new model, different and can become a leader in the government agency sector in terms of service, competence, and in terms of performance produced in managing a capital city," said Achmad Jaka Santos.

Meanwhile, Mandiri Director of Institutional Relations Rohan Hafas hopes that this synergy will be the beginning for good collaboration.

"We hope to be the beginning for a better collaboration and become Bank Mandiri's commitment to provide the best and excellent service in supporting banking service needs, not only to OIKN as a state institution but also to all levels of OIKN employees," said Rohan Hafas.
