Judge Sentenced To 5 Years In Prison 2 Defendant Of Corruption In PT Siak Prima Nusalim Capital Participation
The panel of judges sentenced Edi Sukaria and Suharno to 5 years in prison, two corruption defendants who misused PT Siak Prima Nusalima (SPN)'s capital investment in selling fresh fruit bunches (FFB) through third parties for the 2011-2012 fiscal year.
In this case, Suharno acted as Director of CV Somad Group and Edi as Head of Finance Section of PT SPN. Both were proven to have committed corruption which resulted in state losses of Rp1.9 billion.
"On this decision, the public prosecutor at the Siak District Attorney stated that he was thinking about it. In accordance with the provisions, he was given 7 days to state his position," said Head of the Intelligence Section of the Siak Rawaan Negri Prosecutor's Office (Kejari) Damanik, Thursday, August 10, as reported by Antara.
The Corruption Court judge at the Pekanbaru District Court also sentenced the defendant Edi to pay a fine of Rp. 100 million. However, if it is not paid, it will be replaced with imprisonment for 3 months.
In addition, the judge also determined that Edi would pay a replacement money of Rp107,129,679.00. If the defendant did not pay the replacement money no later than 1 month after the court's decision had permanent legal force, his property could be confiscated by the prosecutor and auctioned off to cover the replacement money.

Meanwhile, in addition to imprisonment with the stated time, the defendant Suharno was also sentenced to pay compensation of Rp1,804,020,770.
However, if he does not pay the replacement money no later than 1 month after the court's decision which has permanent legal force, his property is confiscated by the prosecutor and auctioned off to cover the replacement money.
In the event that the defendant Suharno did not have sufficient assets to pay the replacement money, he was replaced with a prison sentence of 2 years.
