Minister Basuki: JIS Grass Will Be Worked By The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government
JAKARTA - Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono said that the grass repair work at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) would be handed over to the Provincial Government (Pemprov) of DKI Jakarta.
Basuki said that this had indeed been discussed and submitted entirely to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.
"For JIS, there are several activities that must be carried out. For (work) grass stitching (sew), the division of tasks that will be carried out by the DKI and Jakpro governments will be carried out," said Basuki at the PUPR Ministry Building, Jakarta, on Wednesday, August 9.
Basuki said that all repairs in the stadium were the responsibility of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. "Starting from stretching grass and also other access in it, it is done by the DKI Government," he said.
He added that the task of the Ministry of PUPR is to focus more on outside the stadium, such as the construction of pedestrian bridges (JPO) to facilitate access to stadiums and other external road access construction that makes it easier to get to JIS.
"We built a JPO that went to the parking lot in Ancol with a length of 430 meters (m), 5 m wide. Then, CMNP made an off ramp behind JIS to be able to create an access road around the Ring Reservoir, so that from the toll ramp it can be carried to the Ring Reservoir to be able to go to JIS," said Basuki.

Meanwhile, Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono said that grass matching was indeed the task of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.
"Earlier, it was explained by the minister (PUPR) grass, and others (assignments) DKI, including outside the East to West access road across the DKI Regional Government Ring Reservoir. For crossing bridges and others, the Ministry of PUPR," he said.
