Ahead Of Indonesia's Independence Day Anniversary, Flag Seller Turnover In Tangerang Even Down 50 Percent

TANGERANG - Momentum commemoration of the 78th Indonesian Independence Day selling the Red and White Flag to knick-knacks, why the decline. Several traders admitted that the decline was up to 50 percent.

One of the traders, Atep (47) admitted that he had decreased compared to the previous year. The reason is that since he traded in early August until now his purchase rate has decreased greatly.

"This year's direction, turnover is down 50 percent. Usually on the 5th (August) it's a profit of Rp. 10 million, now it's just a deposit to the boss of Rp. 5 million," said Atep when met at Harapan Kita Housing, Kelapa Dua, Tangerang Regency, Monday, August 7.

Atep suspects that the decline this year was due to the large number of consumers who chose to buy online. Moreover, the price sold online is cheaper than in its place.

"Online price is cheaper, because there are pieces, maybe because he is the tailor himself who is sold online. If I have a boss, so the price sold is more expensive than online," he said.

"For example, the price of the red and white flag of 120 cm usually sells Rp. 62 thousand online, we have Rp. 70 thousand," he continued.

The same thing was said by another flag seller, Ridwan (29). He said that for daily sales only 6-7 flags were sold.

"It's really going down, I want to be close to 17 like this, there should be a lot of empty items. Now, there are still a lot left," he said

He hopes that there will still be great opportunities for the sale of his flag to increase in the last 10 days.

"Hopefully in the last 10, many companies or anyone will buy large numbers of flags," he concluded.
