Kabasarnas Becomes A Corruption Suspect, Receives 'Komando Fund' From Private
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has named the Head of the National SAR Agency (Basarnas) for the period 2021-2023 Marshal Henri Alfiandi as a suspect. He was caught in an alleged bribery in the procurement of equipment at Basarnas, whose investigation began with a hand arrest operation (OTT).
"KPK has named and announced the suspect," said KPK Deputy Chair Alexander Marwata at a press conference at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Wednesday, July 26.
Apart from Henri, the other four suspects are the President Commissioner of PT MGCS, MG; President Director of PT IGK, MR; President Director of PT KAU, RA; and Koorsmin Kabasarnas, ABC. Alexander said this determination was based on a hand arrest to follow up on public reports.
The KPK confirmed that it had obtained preliminary evidence before naming Henri as a suspect. It is suspected that the private sector in this case approached Kabarsanas, which was followed by giving money to get the project.
One of the projects is the procurement of debris victims. "There is an agreement or deal related to the provision of money in the form of a fee of 10 percent of the contract value," said Alexander.
"The determination of the amount is allegedly determined directly by HA," he continued.
