Intel And Ericsson Cooperation In Production Of 5G Special Chips Use The Latest Technology
JAKARTA - On Tuesday, July 25, Intel Corp announced that it will be working with Ericsson to produce chips specifically for 5G network devices belonging to the Swedish telecommunications equipment maker, using the most advanced manufacturing technology Intel has ever disclosed.
So far Intel has lost its lead in producing the smallest and most efficient semiconductors in terms of power compared to its competitors such as Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co (TSMC).
One of the main steps of Intel's Chief Executive, Pat Gelsinger, announced in 2021 to take back the lead and reverse the company's state, is to bring together five generations of chip manufacturing technology advances within four years.

Intel and Ericsson did not provide details about when the chips would be on the market, but previously Intel had stated that 18A manufacturing technology would be ready by 2025.
