6.1 Kg Of Crystal Methamphetamine From Ivory Coast Enters Indonesia, Included In Pump Machines

TANGERANG - Soekarno Hatta Airport Customs thwarted 6.1 kilograms (kg) of methamphetamine-type drugs through shipments in the form of spare parts of water pumps from Ivory Coast.

"I found six packages containing crystal powder in each spare part. So that the total amount of evidence found was 12 packs weighing a total of 6.1 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine," said Head of the Soekarno-Hatta Customs Office, Gatot Sugeng Wibowo to reporters, Tuesday, July 25.

Gatot explained that this disclosure began with the Customs and Excise officer's suspicion of shipments in the form of two spare parts of the water pump machine at the Cargo Terminal, Soekarno-Hatta Airport.

Officers checked the two spare parts of the water pump machine. As a result, 12 packages were found weighing a total of 6.1 kg of crystal methamphetamine.

"Conducting tests using detection tools and laboratory tests, and finding the results were positive for methamphetamine or methamphetamine," he said.

Gatot added that his party coordinated with the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police for further development.

"The delivery is with a false concern mode to enter Indonesia. Of course we have to be adaptive to the development of the future mode," he said.

After development. As a result, the perpetrator who received the methamphetamine was identified, namely the initials SA wargw Bekasi, West Java.

"We have obtained the identity of the intended perpetrator. The initials are SA, a resident of Bekasi. (Regarding) the delivery with a false contract mode to enter Indonesia. Of course we must be adaptive to the development of the future mode," he concluded.
