Menpora Dito Apologizes For Assets Worth Rp162 M At LHKPN Makes It Shock
JAKARTA - Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Dito Ariotedjo apologized for the report on the assets of state administrators (LHKPN) which he reported to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) shocked the public. He said this excitement was actually because he did not understand the difference between gift and grant status.
"I also want to apologize (LHKPN, ed) for this commotion in the public," said Dito after holding a meeting with the KPK to discuss preventing corruption at the Kemenpora Building, Jakarta, Tuesday, July 25.
Dito explained that the filling of the status of the prize at the LHKPN was because the attached assets were gifts from his mother-in-law to his wife. "We should consult before filling in with the KPK because this is only because we are confused about being defined," he said.
In the future, Dito admitted that he was ready to revise his wealth report. The assets that made a scene were confirmed to belong to his wife who was given by her parents before they got married.
"So this is the process and consequences of being the youngest and definitely highlighted minister and I am ready to take everything into account," said Dito.
Previously reported, the KPK had clarified about Dito's assets, which stated that there were assets with prize status worth Rp. 162 billion. KPK Deputy for Prevention and Execution Pahala Nainggolan directly contacted via telephone on Monday, July 24 yesterday.
From the results of this clarification, Pahala explained that Dito admitted that he entered the data incorrectly in his report. "In fact, he was hacked by no one who knows that this has his own business column, grants, apparently it is advocated that the grant must use a deed," Pahala told reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta.

Dito reported his wealth to the KPK on July 12 after he was appointed as Minister of Youth and Sports replacing Zainudin Amali. He has a total assets of IDR 282,265,579,658.
Of that number, there are five assets in the form of four houses and one car with the status of a prize. The total value reached Rp162 billion.
