12 Passengers Survived When The Ship Sinked In Cirebon, The Only Missing Victim Was Finally Found
The joint SAR team managed to find the only passenger of the Bunga Jaya fishing boat that was missing after the ship leaked and sank in Cirebon waters, West Java (West Java).
Head of the Operations and Alert Section of the Bandung SAR Office, Supriono, said that the victim on behalf of Haris Efendi (48) was found dead.
"The ship that sank carried 13 people; 2 crew members, and 11 others who were riding a ship," he said in Cirebon, Thursday, July 20, was confiscated by Antara.
Supriono explained that of the 13 people who were on the ship, 12 were rescued when the ship sank because it was leaking. Meanwhile, one passenger was carried away by the current and had disappeared.
He explained, after the search was carried out, finally the joint SAR team from Basarnas, Ditpolairud, Patkamla AL, Polairud Baharkam Polri, Cirebon Port Police, KSOP, and others managed to find the victim on behalf of Haris Efendi (48).
"The joint SAR team received information from fishermen that there was a discovery of a body in the waters of Karang Reja, and after seeing the correct characteristics that were found were the victims who died," he said.

Supriono said, on Tuesday, July 18, at around 17.00 WIB, the fishing boat "Bunga Jaya" capsized in Cirebon waters, where the ship contained 13 people with details of one ship owner, one crew, and 11 passengers.
The victim was taken to the Gunung Jati Hospital to be handed over to the family.
He added, in connection with the discovery that the victim was dead, the SAR operation was stopped. Furthermore, the SAR elements returned to their respective units.
"The team has returned to their respective units, because the victims have been found," he concluded.
