The Prosecutor's Office Names 2 Former Head Of PALI Health Office Suspects Of Fictitious Operational Funds
PALEMBANG - The Public Prosecutor's Office (Kejari) Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir (PALI) has named two former Heads of the local District Health Office (Kadis), South Sumatra, as suspects in the alleged corruption case in the use of fictitious operational funds in 2021.
Head of the Intelligence Section of the PALI District Attorney M Fadli Habibi, in Palembang, Tuesday said the two suspects had the initials MD, Acting Head of the PALI Health Office for the period January - November 2020 and ZA, Head of the PALI Health Office for the period November 2021.
"Both of them were named as suspects after the investigative team received the adequacy of 28 containers of evidence containing important documents and strengthened the statements of 42 witnesses and experts," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, July 18.
He explained that the two suspects were suspected of making fictitious accountability reports for the use of health operational assistance funds for the 2021 fiscal year.
At that time, he said, the total amount of health operational assistance funds approved by the suspects as the power user of the budget was Rp. 410 million.
According to him, the prosecutor's team found that in the process of investigating the total operational assistance money, it was suspected that it was not used properly, so it was suspected that it would cause a complete state loss of Rp410 million.

However, said Fadli, from the value of the loss, the PALI District Attorney has received compensation for state losses of Rp230 million from the suspects, and the compensation for state losses has been kept by Bank Mandiri's holding account.
The suspect has now been detained at the Muara Enim Penitentiary from Tuesday (18/7) to 20 days in the future, and the suspects will be transferred to the Palembang Corruption Crime District Court, after the investigating prosecutor has completed the case file.
