Process Of Returning Hajj, Police Temporarily Stop Coal Transportation In Jambi
JAMBI - Ditlantas Polda Jambi temporarily suspended the traffic of coal transportation using national roads for the smooth return of pilgrims from this province. Dirlantas Polda Jambi Kombes Pol Dhafi said the cessation of coal transportation traffic using national roads was valid from July 18 to July 25, 2023. "This temporary suspension is so that the return of pilgrims to their respective regions runs smoothly," said Dhafi, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, July 18. He asked all coal transport drivers to comply with the rules imposed by the police. Drivers are expected not to steal the opportunity to carry out transportation activities during the temporary suspension period. This, he said, was aimed at the process of returning pilgrims to each district running smoothly. The Jambi Regional Police ensured the comfort of the congregation when returning to their respective districts, especially the Hajj pilgrims from the districts traversed by coal transportation. Meanwhile, the process of repatriating pilgrims from Jambi has been going on since Monday 17 July where 17 Hajj groups from Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency had arrived at around 16.55 WIB at Sultan Thaha Jambi Airport.

Selanjutnya pada Selasa 18 Juli jemaah haji kloster 18 akan tiba di Jambi diperkirakan sekitar pukul 20.55 WIB. Kloter 18 berasal dari jemaah haji Tanjung Jabung Timur dan Kota Jambi. Selanjutnya jemaah haji akan di restasi terlebih dahulu di Dormitori Haji Jambi sebelum kemudian dipulangkan dengan bus ke masing-masing kabupaten/kota. Sebelumnya, saat proses keberangkatan jemaah haji, operasional lalu lintas transport batu bara menggunakan jalan nasional di Provinsi Jambi juga dihentikan sementara untuk kemantangan jemaah haji.
