Rosan Roeslani Becomes Deputy Minister, Minister Of SOEs Hopes To Encourage Big Strategies
JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir responded to Rosan Roeslani's appointment as deputy minister. Erick assessed that Rosan already had the credibility and capable capability to occupy the position.
As is known, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has just appointed Rosan Roeslani as Deputy Minister of SOEs this morning at the State Palace, Jakarta.
Erick believes that Rosan's experience in the industrial sector until his last position as Indonesian Ambassador to the United States (US) will provide color in the transformation of SOEs.
Mr. Rosan Roeslani no longer needs to be questioned about his credibility and capability. He has experience as a banker, Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Indonesian Ambassador to the United States so that he is expected to encourage the big strategy of SOEs so that more SOEs in various sectors are able to take part as global players," he said in Jakarta, Monday, July 17.
Erick said the direction of transformation of the Ministry of SOEs would also continue with the presence of Rosan Roeslani and Kartika Wirjoatmodjo as Deputy Ministers of SOEs.

Previously, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) appointed Deputy Minister of SOEs Pahala Nugraha Mansyuri to become Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. Rosan's appointment is in line with the position of Deputy Minister of BUMN I left by Pahala.
In addition to Pahala, the special staff of the Minister of SOEs in the field of communication, Nezar Patria, also received the task of becoming Deputy Minister of Communication and Information (Kominfo).
