Harry Maguire Removed From The Position Of Captain Manchester United: Personally I'm Very Disappointed
JAKARTA - That day finally came too. Harry Maguire was removed from his position as captain of the Manchester United team.
This was revealed by Maguire after having a conversation with Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag. He announced the news through his social media accounts.
"After discussing with the manager today, he told me he replaced the captain," Maguire wrote on his social media account.
Maguire said Ten Hag had explained his decision to remove the captain's armband from him. The England defender also revealed he was very disappointed with the manager's decision.
"The manager explained his reasons to me and while I was personally very disappointed," he wrote, as quoted by Antara.
In Maguire's post showing off his lifting the 2022/2023 Carabao Cup League Cup, he also expressed his gratitude to fans and former Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for first appointing him as captain.
Maguire shared that he felt very proud to be chosen to lead the team nicknamed the Red Devils since three and a half years ago.
Regarding whoever captained to replace Maguire, he said he would always fully support him.

Maguire also said he would continue to give everything to the team as long as they were still wearing Manchester United uniforms.
"And I wish whoever is now captain, always successful, and he will have my full support," he wrote.
