Boosting Human Resources Capacity, PLN Gives Electric Motorcycle Conversion Training To Vocational High School Students In Lampung
JAKARTA - In order to increase the capacity of human resources (HR) in the accelerated electric vehicle ecosystem program in Indonesia, PT PLN (Persero) provides training on the conversion of electric motors to 23 SMK students and 6 workshop technicians in Lampung.
The training participants came from students majoring in electricity and automotive SMK Dynamics, SMK 2 Kotabumi, SMK 3 Kotabumi and SMKN 1 Bukit Kemuning in Lampung. In this activity, PLN collaborated with three workshops ranging from Elder's Garage, which is licensed and famous as a speaker and local, namely Vespa Clinic Kotabumi and Anugrah Motor Kotabumi.
General Manager of PLN Lampung Distribution Main Unit Saleh Siswanto said the training activity was an effort to drive the development of the KBLBB ecosystem in Lampung. Saleh hopes that by running the PLN Cares program this time, he can provide students' skills and insight regarding the conversion of electric motors and energy transitions.
PLN is committed to being a driver in accelerating the KBLBB ecosystem in Lampung. I hope that with this training, brothers and sisters can understand how conventional motor conversion into electric motorcycles, as well as obtaining interesting insights regarding the transition of fossil fuel vehicles to electric vehicles," said Saleh.
Saleh explained, in his commitment to accelerate the electric vehicle ecosystem in Lampung, PLN also continues to build supporting infrastructure such as Public Electricity Charging Stations (SPLU) and Public Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (SPKLU).
"PLN has operated Public Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (SPKLU) at 5 points, including SPKLU Rest Area KM 49A, KM 172A, KM 20B, KM 163B and SPKLU El's Coffee and Roastery Bandar Lampung," said Saleh.
Sulisno, a companion and teacher of SMK Negeri 3 Kotabumi supports PLN's steps in providing training to vocational students in Lampung. This is useful for increasing the skills of SMK students majoring in electricity and automotive in an effort to encourage the development of the Battery-Based Electric Motor Vehicle (KBLBB) ecosystem in Lampung.

"We are grateful to PLN, through the PLN Peduli program which involves our students to participate in encouraging the development of the KBLBB ecosystem. Through this training, we have the opportunity to explore alternative energy that can be utilized," said Sulisno.
A researcher from Elder's Garage Roni conveyed the importance of qualified human resources for the development of electric motors. This is because Roni is optimistic that electric motors are future technologies that are ready to replace fossil fuel vehicles in the near future.
Converting conventional motorbikes to electric motorcycles is a promising innovation for practicality in the future. This training is a golden opportunity for SMK brothers who attend, because electrical energy is an alternative energy that will replace all fossil fuel energy," explained Roni.
