JAKARTA - The name of the eldest son of President Joko Widodo, Gibran Rakabuming Raka is included in one of the names of figures who will be proposed to be promoted as a candidate for Governor of DKI in the upcoming 2024 DKI Pilkada.This was conveyed in the announcement of the results of the Jakarta People's Rembuk conducted by the DKI Jakarta PSI Regional Leadership Council (DPW) with 11 thousand Jakarta respondents.Previously, the name of Jokowi's youngest son, Kaesang Pangarep, was also planned to be carried by the Depok City PSI DWP to become a candidate for Mayor of Depok in the 2024 Pilkada.Chairman of the DKI Jakarta PSI DPW Elva Fahri Qolbina explained the reason why Gibran was included in one of the names offered to be carried in the 2024 Pilkada with the highest support from the results of the Jakarta People's Rembuk."Before Mas Gibran was nominated in Solo, PSI from the start was the party that supported Mas Gibran to be pushed forward as Mayor of Solo," said Elva at the DKI Jakarta PSI DPW Office, Friday, June 23.In total, 9 names of potential figures as Cagub DKI were selected from the results of the Jakarta People's Rembuk. Gibran's name occupies the highest position of PSI DKI support, which is 26.13 percent.Second place is Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono with 16.77 percent, and the third is filled with the name Grace Natalie with 15.78 percent of the votes.The fourth position is occupied by Ridwan Kamil (15.20 percent), fifth is Social Minister Tri Rismaharini (13.07 percent), then the names are Dudung Abdurachman (8.85 percent), Bima Arya (1.88 percent), M Fadil Imran (1.35 percent), and Ahmed Zaki Iskandar (0.97 percent).
Elva explained that the names of the nine potential figures to become Cagub DKI as a result of the Jakarta People's Rembuk will be submitted to the PSI Central Leadership Council (DPP) to be followed up with the party mechanism."We are from the DPW, our job is to capture the voices of the people for us to submit them to the DPP and we are waiting for the results of the discussion at the DPP. We hope these people are the right ones," he explained.
