Bandung City Government Still Reviewing The Implementation Of Work From Anywhere For ASN

BANDUNG - Bandung City Government (Pemkot) is still reviewing the implementation of Work From Anywhere (WFA) work patterns for State Civil Apparatus (ASN) as did the West Java Provincial Government (Pemprov).Head of the Bandung City Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM) Adi Junjunan Mustafa said that so far there has been no decision from the results of the study."We just received directions to conduct an assessment. This is being done. So there has been no progress," he said in Bandung, Antara, Friday, June 23.The work pattern of ASN in the Bandung City Government, he continued, still applies as usual and there is no longer the implementation of Work From Home (WFH)."The system and working time are like current arrangements," said Adi.Meanwhile, the Mayor of Bandung, Ema Sumarna, said that the implementation of WFA must be observed from various things, ranging from typical ASN qualifications and disciplinary issues. As long as ASN can increase productivity and discipline, according to him, the implementation of WFA can be implemented."First, regarding the criteria and typical qualifications of ASN. If those who provide direct services to the community are not allowed to provide WFA services. But if the work does not intersect directly with services to the community, we just have to inventory it," said Ema.He said the WFA policy would continue to be studied so that there would be no discrimination among ASN. Ema also hopes that ASN can continue to increase productivity by implementing WFA or not."As long as the person concerned can be productive, we can apply this. We will not be reckless, do not mean that it is not clear and discriminatory," he said.Previously, the Governor of West Java (Jabar) Ridwan Kamil said that the West Java Provincial Government was the first province to make the concept or policy of working dynamically for WFA for ASN."So West Java Province, the first province to make WFA permanent," he said in Bandung, Monday (19/6).
He said the policy was permanent based on experience during the COVID-19 pandemic where there were a number of positions that could work without having to go to the office.
