Investigate Ancol Mangkrak Project, DKI DPRD Proposes A Special Committee Form
JAKARTA - Commission B of the DKI Jakarta DPRD held a working meeting with PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol which discussed the polemic of stalled projects within the Ancol tourist area.
In this meeting, a number of members of Commission B of the DKI Jakarta DPRD proposed the formation of a special committee to dismantle the problem of stalled projects in Ancol to recommendations for resolving the problem.
In Government Regulation Number 12 of 2018, the special committee was formed in a plenary meeting at the suggestion of DPRD members. Most of the Special Committee members were formed on 25 people, consisting of members of the related commission proposed by each faction.
"I think we have to focus here, if necessary we make a special committee. I propose from Commission B to make an Ancol special committee because it turns out that the problems or problems in Ancol are very large," said Pandapotan at the DKI Jakarta DPRD building, Wednesday, June 21.
Based on a report from the Director of PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Winarto in today's meeting, there were four problems with stalled projects, ranging from cooperation in apartment construction with Crown, hotels with Marriot Group, development of Sea World with PT Sea World Indonesia, and construction of BTO Music Stadium at ABC Mall with PT Paramitha Bangun Cipta Sarana.
Pandapotan admitted that he was surprised by the stalled projects that have only been revealed. Because, so far, Ancol as the company whose majority shares are owned by the DKI Provincial Government has never reported development problems in its tourist areas.
"I am very surprised to hear this information. So far, I have never known about these problems. I don't think there are any problems in Ancol regarding developments," said Pandapotan.
On that basis, Pandapotan asked the leadership of Commission B to propose the formation of the Special Committee for the Ancol stalled project to the leadership of the DKI Jakarta DPRD.
"This needs special attention, because this is one of our BUMD problems. Not to mention other BUMDs, not to mention the assignment. I think colleagues from Commission B will be more observant and thorough to be able to overcome this BUMD," he said.

Similarly, Member of Commission B of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Suhud Aliyudin, also proposed the establishment of the Special Committee for the Ancol stalled project. On the other hand, Suhud also suggested a special audit of the stalled project by the DKI Regional Owned Enterprise Development Agency (BP BUMD).
"Frankly, we are certainly disappointed with the existing situation. I agree that there is a need for the DPRD special committee to explore the problems that arise. Second, I think BP BUMD needs to conduct a kind of audit to see the lost opportunity of the stalled number of projects," said Suhud.
