The Case Of A Boy Playing With A Match Of Fire Near Gasoline, A Car Tire Shop In Jatinegara Caught Fire
JAKARTA - A car and motorcycle tire shop on Jalan Basuki Rahmat, RT 12/09, Rawa Bunga Village, Jatinegara District, East Jakarta, was engulfed by a red rooster on Wednesday, June 21. The fire was reported to have occurred at 12.40 WIB.
According to information, the fire allegedly came from children playing with matches near the gas station. Then the fire grew when the store employee sprayed it.
"The one that caught fire this afternoon was a car tire and motorbike shop," said Head of East Jakarta Fire Department, Muchtar Zakaria to reporters, Wednesday, June 21.
A total of 18 fire engines were deployed to the location with a strengthening of 90 personnel.
Although the fire was successfully localized by firefighters at around 13.05 WIB, officers were still trying to cool down.
"The one that caught fire besides the tires, there were 1 car and 3 motorbikes and workshop equipment that caught fire. The loss was estimated at around Rp800 million," he said.
Kasudin said there were no obstacles in the fire extinguishing process.

"There is no difficulty. We received the news (report) and immediately arrived at the location for about 5 minutes because the position of the fire was not far from the post about 2 km," he said.
There were no casualties or injuries as a result of this fire incident.
"There were no reports of explosions, only the fire immediately grew," he said. As a result of this fire incident, the road around the fire site had to be closed.
"When the fire is big (traffic) we hold it a bit so that the driver is safe," he said.
