After Being Examined By The KPK, The Minister Of Agriculture Immediately Inspected The Stock Of Sacrificial Animals In Bogor
JAKARTA - Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo (SYL) ensures the availability of sacrificial animals nationally in a safe and healthy condition so that people who want to sacrifice do not have to worry.
This was conveyed by the Minister of Agriculture when directly checking the availability of sacrificial animals in the Cage of the Livestock Group owned by PT. Bima Jaya Farm located in Bogor City, West Java.
"Today we are checking the spots, places that are prepared to accommodate cows, buffalo and other animals in the context of preparing for Eid al-Kurban which will soon take place," explained Minister of Agriculture SYL after checking the cage with his staff in Bogor, reported by ANTARA, Monday, June 19.
The Qurban Bima Jaya Farm Cattle Depot which was directly checked by the Minister of Agriculture SYL accommodated 900 cows, 90 percent of which came from West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) and 150 goats / sheep.
Based on information from the Directorate General of Animal Husbandry and Animal Health (Ditjen PKH), all sacrificial animals here are confirmed to have obtained an Animal Health Certificate (SKKH). Even after reviewing this depot, the Minister of Agriculture said that all sacrificial animals were in good health and in accordance with the established standards.
"Today I have a tag on it, so all sacrificial animals from the regions, NTT, NTB and Sulawesi must have a tag on it, and I checked here, there are all of them," he said.

The Minister of Agriculture emphasized that his party together with local governments, both at the provincial and district/city levels, always coordinate to prepare sacrificial animals this year in all aspects. He admitted that he had formed a task force team that reported the readiness of sacrificial animals at the regional level every week.
"This year, I make sure the Ministry of Agriculture prepares sacrificial animals much better in all aspects, of course the Ministry of Agriculture together with the regencies and provinces in Indonesia," he explained.
It is known, the availability of sacrificial animals is currently in sufficient condition and even a surplus. The Ministry of Agriculture noted that the national availability of sacrificial animals in 2023, both cattle, buffalo, goats and sheep reached 2,737,996, while the need for sacrificial animals this year is projected to be 1,743,051 or an increase of 2 percent from the previous year.
